In April 2013, I staged a yarn bombing in Wigan town center to celebrate the one year birthday of House of Sharkey. The local council could not have been more helpful and I heard a lot of positive feedback.
My original idea was just to brighten up the town center with flowers but as I started to work I recalled a story from my childhood in which a young witch accidentally commanded plants and vines to burst up from under the concrete flags in her hated neighbors garden and attack I like the idea of people just sitting and relaxing on this bench, blissfully unaware that they are about to enveloped by the cheeky vines and flowers.

Fashion
As well as crochet and embroidery, I am also a big fashion lover, having stuided Fashion Design at Liverpool John Moores University.
My style is vintage as I am obsessed with corsetry but for my final collection, I experimented with drape to create a new shape.
